Named after the founder’s grandfather, the "Michel GMT" offers a contemporary reinterpretation of a 1970s design. With a 40mm case blending elements of a tonneau and a cushion, it boasts intricate mirror polishing and a sunray radial brush.

The generously sized dial incorporates various textures, featuring a radial brush in the center, a satin ring, and etched patterns on the outer ring. Large, applied indexes and distinctive mountain-cut hands pay homage to 1970s timepieces, captivating light at different angles and creating an ever-changing aesthetic.

The GMT function aligns with the 24-hour scale, introducing a modern color palette. The Michel GMT becomes a unique and cherished accessory.

Offering dual time zones in a stainless-steel case measuring 40mm in diameter and a slim 10.80 mm thickness, this watch is exceptionally comfortable on the wrist.

The satin-brushed bezel with a polished ring, along with polished case sides and lugs and double domed sapphire Cristal lends a versatile smart-casual appeal suitable for any occasion.

At the heart of the Michel GMT beats the Sellita 330-2 automatic movement in elaborate grade with blue screws—a reliable “OFFICE GMT" calibre ticking at 28,800 bph (4Hz), comprising 21 jewels, and boasting a robust 56-hour power reserve, regulated in-house to +6/-4 seconds per day in 5 positions.

The beautifully decorated movement is showcased through the extra-large sapphire case back revealing a unique custom engraved movement holder.

Additional cut-to-size rubber straps are available for a more casual outfit.

Tesse Watches is a microbrand dedicated to creating timeless, high-quality timepieces that blend contemporary aesthetics inspired by the past. Based in Toronto, Canada, the brand focuses on delivering exceptional value through limited production runs and a direct-to-consumer model.

“As a modest, independent company fueled by a passion for horology, our commitment revolves around meticulous attention to detail, captivating design and the creation of truly unique timepieces.” said Thomas Brissiaud, founder of Tesse Watches. “Our inaugural series reimagines classic designs, designed to be worn daily, with an aesthetic that we believe will resonate across generations.”

Production Timeline

At Tessé Watches, we truly believe that we have a great product, so we decided to finance most of the first production and unlike many Kickstarter projects that begin production after funding, the Michel GMT is already in motion.

Prototypes Completed & Tested: The final design has been refined and perfected.
Production Started: Our manufacturing partners have already begun working on the first batch of cases and dials.
Movements: The Sellita SW330-2 movements are already in stock at our assembly partner in Switzerland.

By taking this decision, we are doing away with the long lead times that accompany those critical points in the supply chain.

Backing this project means you’re securing a nearly finished luxury watch—without the uncertainty.
